Provides procedures and design criteria for calculating the required wall thickness of new tubes for petroleum refinery heaters. The procedures described are appropriate for designing tubes in both corrosive and noncorrosive services. Allowable stress curves providing elastic allowable and rupture allowable for most common heater tube alloys are included in both conventional and metric (SI) units.
