Description / Abstract:
Note: Nothing in this standard supercedes
applicable laws and regulations.
Note: In the event of conflict between the
English and domestic language, the English language shall take
precedence.
Purpose. The determination of the tensile
strength and elongation to failure shown by elastomeric components
used in vehicles when strained at a constant velocity within the
temperature range -30 °C to +150 °C.
Objectives. The determination of the tensile
force and deformation to failure. These values are dependent upon
the elastomer properties.
