ISO DIS 16122-4

Description / Abstract: This part of ISO 16122, when used together with ISO 16122-1² specifies the requirements and test methods for the inspection of fixed and semi-mobile sprayers as defined respectively in 3.1 and 3.2, when in use.

This part of ISO 16122 relates mainly to the condition of the equipment with respect to its potential risk for the environment and its performance to achieve good application.

It does not apply for Ultra Low Volume (ULV) application equipment³) (i.e. foggers).

This part of ISO 16122 is not applicable to sprayers manufactured before the date of its publication.

NOTE Requirements for the protection of inspectors during an inspection are given in ISO 16122-1.

3) ULV application equipment is an application equipment designed for spraying at a Volume Application Rate (VAR) of less than 5 L/ha for field crops or less than 50 L/ha for tree/bush crops.
