Description / Abstract: This International Standard defines physical quantities used in the field thermal performance of buildings and building elements, and gives the corresponding Symbols and units.

NOTE Because the scope of this International Standard is restricted to thermal performance and energy use in the built environment, some of the definitions given in clause 2 differ from those given ISO 80000-5 Quantities and units - Part 5: Thermodynamics (ISO 80000-5:2007).
