Description / Abstract: This International Standard specifies the minimum requirements and test methods for meteorological balloons.

This International Standard is applicable to meteorological balloons made from natural rubber latex or natural rubber latex compounded with synthetic rubber emulsion. The specifications in this international standard are for two types of balloon, namely:

Type 1: The meteorological balloon produced by dipping process;

Type 2: The meteorological balloon produced by the other process.
