Description / Abstract:
This Standard should apply to reinforced concrete building consisting of load bearing walls of reinforced concrete building (such building is called reinforced concrete box-shaped wall buildings and abbreviated to RC wall building hereafter) or to the part of RC wall building which uses both this and other types of structure.
RC wall building should have 5 or fewer aboveground stories and the eaves height should be 16 m or less and the story height on each story 3 m or less. On the top story, the story height may be 3.3 m or less. If the roof has a slope, the sum of the story height of the top story and the height from the eaves to the ridge shall be 4 m or less.
On each aboveground story of RC wall building, the mean weight (N) for calculating seismic forces averaged over the stories supported on that story divided by the floor area (m2) used for calculating the wall length ratio on that story shall be 12000 N/m2 or less.
