Significant changes in the 2003 edition include:The chapter on Electrical and Other Sources of Ignition has been extensively revised to recognize the Zone concept of area classification. Included in these revisions are the addition of appropriate definitions and revisions of the figures illustrating the area classifications in and around dipping and coating processes. Recirculation of exhaust air is now permitted under certain conditions. The chapter on Protection has been revised to parallel and correlate with the chapter on Protection in NFPA 33: Standard for Spray Application Using Flammable or Combustible Materials.
