Largely drawn from or based on nationally recognized standards for fire, health, and life safety, NFPA 1194 provides minimum construction requirements to ensure a reasonable degree of safety and health for occupants using facilities supplied by recreational vehicle parks and campgrounds that offer temporary living sites for use by RVs and camping units. Guidelines serve as a basis for regulations by authorities having jurisdiction over the facilities provided in new recreational vehicle parks and campgrounds and additions to existing facilities.
