NFPA 1931 provides the manufacturer of fire department ground ladders with a set of performance requirements against which new ladders are certified. The standard specifies the requirements and the design verification testing required for new ground ladders intended to be used by fire department personnel for rescue and fire-fighting operations as well as for training.
